Duplicator program
Contents
Introduction
The Duplicator program is a management tool specifically designed for handling the configuration and firmware updates of multiple Vutlan monitoring devices. It simplifies the process by enabling users to simultaneously upload configurations and firmware to many devices, which is particularly useful for administrators managing large-scale systems.
Key Features:
Centralized Management: Allows for the centralized management of up to 50 Vutlan monitoring units (e.g., the VT855t series) through a single device with the Duplicator license.
Administrator Permissions: To operate the program, the user must have administrator permissions, ensuring security and control over the process.
Single License Use: The Duplicator license is tied to a single Vutlan monitoring unit, which then manages other units via their IP addresses.
How it works
This program is essential for administrators looking to efficiently manage and configure a large number of monitoring systems in an organized, controlled manner.
Upload the Duplicator license to a single Vutlan monitoring unit.
That unit can then configure and update firmware for other Vutlan devices over an IP network. VT335t, VT336t, VT604t, VT608t, VT825t, VT855t can update up to 50 monitoring systems. VT960i systems can update up to 500 systems.
The main menu allows you to access all necessary management options, streamlining device setup and updates.
You only need to upload a Duplicator license to a single Vutlan monitoring unit. This unit with the Dupliactor license can configure up to 50 (“t” series, e.g. VT855t) Vutlan monitoring systems by an IP address.

Update unit settings or firmware
Click the “Upload” button and load the settings file (or firmware file on the “Firmware” tab). Select the desired settings for the update. Note that the IP address of the device will not be replaced during the update.
Select the units you want to update, and click the “Update” button. Unit update tasks will be added to the queue. Wait until they are completed and make sure that the changes take effect.
Remember that after the update the unit reboots and it takes some time during which the devices are unavailable.
A successful firmware update can be seen from the changed version (Firmware version in units table).
To check the new settings, it is better to log in to the device and make sure that the settings are applied.
