Backup, restore and reset.

Backup, restore and reset.

The software allows you to back up the device configuration, as well as to make recovery and reset to the factory settings.

The software allows you to backup the settings of the monitoring unit in a file, as well as restore the backup settings and reset them by default.

Backup settings to a file

To back up the current settings to a file on your computer, go to System menu-> Export and run Download current settings

Please note that before you back up the sensor settings, you must save them using the Save to Flash button in the upper right corner

Since v. 2.7.1 is available selective backup settings to a file.

The selective backup configuration file can be used for mass deployment of monitoring units on a facility when it is expected to use multiple units with identical settings. One monitoring system is set up first after which the settings of this system are necessary to back up. Further backup settings are restored on other systems, and different parameters are set manually.

Backup settings

To back up the current settings to a file, in the System interface go to tab -> "System menu" -> "Export" and push-button "OK" for "Download current settings"

Please note that before the operation it is necessary to save sensor settings. Push "Save to Flash" in the upper right corner!

Reset to default values

The following ways are possible:

1. With a special firmware

This possibility exists in all versions. Factory data reset is carried out using special firmware that can be downloaded from the drivers as the Settings Recovery Tools.

Reset features to factory settings:

  • full reset;

  • network settings reset;

  • user password reset;

Reset firmware installed in the same way as a usual software upgrade.

2. In a Web interface

Go to the tab System menu → About and push button "OK" for "Reset settings to default values" .

Possible options:

  • for sensors - reset sensors (elements) only;

  • for all - resets all to factory settings.

3. Using a "Factory reset" button

On some devices, this button may be labeled as “Reset”.

To restore the factory settings, press and hold the “Factory reset“ button. After 5-10 seconds, the Error LED (red) will start flashing. After that, you can release the button. The Error LED will light up continuously and the settings restore process will start. After that, the device will automatically reboot with default factory configuration.

If the button push for less than 5 seconds (before the Error LED start flashing), the settings reset and a restart will not be made.
