Function and purpose
The VT11 Dry Contact Output is a versatile relay output (relay switchable contact) designed for controlling various devices and systems. It offers both relay output and dry contact output capabilities, allowing it to function effectively in multiple applications.
The VT11 is ideal for security systems, HVAC control, and other automation tasks where reliable switching of devices is essential. Its ability to act as both a relay and a dry contact output enhances its usability across different setups.
Can manage 5A power for magnetic locks, bolt locks, solenoid electromagnets, sirens, light sources, heaters, air conditioners, etc.
Can be connected to any Vutlan unit with 12V relay outputs and managed through a Vutlan Web UI.
Use cases
These applications demonstrate the versatility of the VT11 in various settings, from security and automation to HVAC and industrial uses.
Access Control Systems: The VT11 can be used to control magnetic locks or electronic strikes, providing secure access to restricted areas. It can trigger the locking mechanism based on input from access control systems.
Alarm Systems: In security applications, the VT11 can activate sirens or notification lights when an alarm is triggered, ensuring prompt alerts in case of unauthorized access or emergencies.
HVAC Control: The VT11 can manage heating and cooling units by switching them ON or OFF based on predefined conditions, improving energy efficiency and maintaining desired indoor climate.
Lighting Control: It can control lighting systems, allowing for automated ON/OFF functions based on occupancy sensors or timers, enhancing energy savings.
Industrial Automation: The VT11 can be integrated into manufacturing processes to control machinery or equipment, allowing operators to manage power sources effectively and automate workflows.
Remote Monitoring: When used with a monitoring system, the VT11 can provide remote control capabilities, enabling users to manage devices and receive status updates from anywhere.

Connecting switchable contact
Switchable contact can only be connected to 12V 0.25A outputs of the Vutlan monitoring system. The diagram below explains how to connect two VT11 switchable contacts to the monitoring system.
Usage examples with installation diagram
Example 1. Using "VT11 / dry contact output" to control a device with dry contact input.
Example 2. Control siren, light source, heater.
Example 3. Control magnetic lock, electric motor, solenoid electromagnet
Cable pinouts
Switchable contact uses a standard two-wire cable for connecting to the monitoring unit.
