VT-ACCU / Rechargeable backup battery

Content

Function and purpose

The VT-ACCU Rechargeable Backup Battery is an extension module designed to ensure continuous operation of Vutlan monitoring devices during power outages. It charges while the main power source is active and automatically provides backup power if the main input voltage drops. Once power is restored, the batteries begin recharging, ensuring they are always ready for future use.

Compatible with monitoring systems like VT604t, VT608t, VT825t, and VT855t, it provides reliable backup power to maintain system functionality and avoid monitoring interruptions. Ideal for critical IT infrastructure and facility monitoring.

Accumulator batteries are not included. Recommended battery 14500 800 2.5A BUTTON TOPXTAR.

DO NOT USE NON-RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES!

ONLY USE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES (ACCUMULATORS)!

Size: 14500

Voltage: 3.7 V

Type: Li-Ion

Recommended battery 14500 800 2.5A BUTTON TOPXTAR

The battery can hold between 8m to 8hours depending on the load of extensions and sensors.

Physical Description

Front panel:

  1. “Progress” - the LED shows if the battery is charging.

  2. “Complete” - the LED shows if the battery is charged.

  3. “Input power” - the LED shows if the power for changing the batteries has voltage.

Power Supply Priorities

VT855t Example

The power supply inputs may differ for each Vutlan system and your ordered options. This example only explains the general working principle.

Power supply

Power supply

1, 2, 3

  1. 230V AC to 12 V DC

  2. 230V AC to 12 V DC

  3. 12V DC

These power supply lines are equivalent. The main Vutlan PCB has 3 power lines. If all three power lines are connected and active at the same time, the system chooses the input with the biggest Voltage.

Normally each of these lines supply the system with 11V. Power switching is instant.

4

  1. 9V DC

VT-ACCU is charged by the power line 1. The system will start working from VT-ACCU only in case power lines 1,2, and 3 are off (power outage).

1

a) Unscrew x2 countersink screws at the panel named “Battery extension slot” located at the back of the monitoring system case.

b) take the panel out.

2

Insert the batteries inside VT-ACCU PCB unit.

3

Push in the battery case with it’s legs into the PCB gaps.

4

Slide the battery case so that it locks into the PCB.

5

Screw the unit to the panel that we have unscrewed in step one using x2 screws M3.

6

a) Plug the assembly into the monitoring system slot named “Batttery extenion slot”.

b) Screw the panel to the enclosure using x2 countersink screws that we have received in step 1.
