Communities
SNMP community setting can be found in the tab Preferences -> SNMP. In the fields "Community for SNMP read-only” and “Community for SNMP write”.
Download MIB file
MIB file available in “Preferences” -> “SNMP” in the “Download MIB file” link.
Enable SNMP agent
Current appliances support SNMP ver. 1, 2с, and 3.
For SNMP version 3, advanced security settings are available.
Warning
When using SNMP v3, the passphrase length should be at least 8 characters. Otherwise, there will be an authorization error.
Attention! For the SNMP manager to be able to convert the OID in the MIB tree from the numerical to a character form, you must install the VUTLAN MIB file under the documentation on your SNMP manager!
Enable SNMP on a monitoring unit
Open the Vutlan web Interface >> main menu “Prefernces” >> “SNMP” >> tick option “Enable SNMP”
