Use cases
The VT825t / Remote Monitoring System offers a versatile solution across a range of applications, making it ideal for:
Data Centers: It monitors temperature, humidity, leakage under raised floors, and airflow to ensure optimal conditions for servers and network equipment. It also controls cooling systems and monitors UPS status, providing alerts in case of power failures or temperature spikes.
Industrial Automation: The VT825t can monitor voltage, leakage, and smoke in factories or manufacturing plants while controlling machinery like fans, circuit breakers, or alarms. It ensures the safety and efficiency of automated processes.
Building Management: It acts as an I/O controller to monitor HVAC systems, smoke detectors, and door control systems in office buildings, ensuring proper functioning and security.
Telecommunication Facilities: Used to manage backup power generators, environmental conditions, and network devices, ensuring continuous uptime for telecommunications infrastructure.
Critical Infrastructure: For facilities like power plants or water treatment plants, it monitors environmental factors and controls equipment to prevent system failures, offering notifications and control via its web interface.
Each of these use cases takes advantage of the VT825t's robust features for environmental monitoring, logic-based control, and notifications, ensuring reliable performance in mission-critical environments.

1. "1U 19-inch brackets" - x2 pcs for mounting brackets into a 1U 19" rack slot.
...
3. "Analog sensors: A1..A8" - 8 RJ12 analog sensor inputs with auto-sensing. Read instructions at "Analog sensors connection", and "Sensor configuration".
4. "LAN port" - Ethernet 10/100 Base-T port, provides an Ethernet connection. Read more in this section "LAN, GSM, LTE, RADIUS, DNS, SSL, VPN".
"Orange LED" - orange LED for Ethernet port. It shows network traffic.
"Green LED" - green LED for Ethernet port. It shows network traffic. Flashes green when the system starts up. Shows the connection state (constant green light - the connection is established, blinking green - the connection attempt).
5. "Modem slot" - "VT740 / LTE slot modem" can be installed in this slot. This modem is ordered separately. Read instructions at "VT740 / LTE slot modem", and "LAN, GSM, LTE, RADIUS, DNS, SSL, VPN".
6. "CAN DEVICES" - digital connector RJ12 for the connection of CAN sensors/extensions/devices on a CAN bus. Modules can be chained together. Read the instructions at "CAN devises connection", and "Setting up CAN".
"LED: CAN" - green LED indicates CAN bus status.
The LED blinks slowly - nothing is connected
The LED blinks fast - configuration is in process
The LED glows constantly - connected to CAN devices
7. “USB” - Micro USB ports is needed for USB camera recording, USB Flash for system logs, and system restoration. Read instructions in "Connecting USB camera", "USB camera settings. How to save a video", "Saving system logs on USB flash drive", and "USB upgrade or restore of default settings".

Power Supply Priorities
...
Power supply line | Description |
---|---|
1, 2, 3 |
These power supply lines are equivalent. The main Vutlan PCB has 3 power lines. If all three power lines are connected and active at the same time, the system chooses the input with the biggest Voltage. Normally each of these lines supply the system with 11V. Power switching is instant. |
4 |
VT-ACCU is charged by the power line 1. The system will start working from VT-ACCU only in case power lines 1,2, and 3 are off (power outage). |
