To be able to record video from an RTSP IP camera, you will also need to connect an internal SATA HDD, or SD card, or USB flash drive.
To create an "RTSP IP camera" element, click on " " In the "System tree" tab. Click on the "RTSP IP Camera".

URL (IP address) | The URL (IP address) of the camera is required with the protocol type (rtsp://). In general, the URL of the video stream for IP cameras depends on the manufacturer and model. To determine this URL, please contact the cam manufacturer. |
Username | Username, for secure access to the camera with a login and password, maybe empty. |
Password | Password, for secure access to the camera with a login and password, maybe empty. |
Proxy URL | The address for direct access to the video stream is displayed here. |
If the "Username" or "Password" field is empty, then access to the camera will be not secured. If the username and password are set, then access to the camera's live stream is possible in this form: http://<username>:<password>@192.168.0.102/rtspcam_406001
The camera is displayed as an element in the "System tree" and live stream in the "Cameras" tab. The delay in displaying the live video is related to the codec and is about 5 seconds.
