To update the software via the interface (HTTP), first, upload the appropriate driver from our "drivers" section.

Then go to "System menu" >> "Firmware" tab >> "Upload source" >> "From local filesystem" >> "Select file".

Select the driver upgrade file and press "OK".  After the update is complete the web interface displays the message "Firmware Upload".

Upgrade files may have different names:

  • vutlan-2.x.x-bxxx.vut - to update the driver for VT3xx, VT6xx, VT805, VT825 units;

  • firmware-kernel.vut - to update the kernel driver on VT3xx, VT6xx, VT805, and VT825 units;

  • vutlan-vt900-3.x.x-bxxx.vut - to update the driver for VT9xx units;

  • vutlan-vt960i-4.x.x-bxxx.vut - to update the driver for VT960i & VT960ii units;

  • vutlan-vt855i-5.x.x-bxxx.vut - to update the driver for VT335i, VT825i, and VT855i units.

The updating process is indicated by LEDs on the front panel of the device: file installation is indicated by switching ERR, and the end of the installation process is indicated by a short-term increase in switching frequency ACT. Then all the lights switch off - the system is rebooted. Completion is indicated by switching to reboot ACT.

Warning

Do not restart the device on your own at this moment, this may damage the program and require a full flashing.

The update duration is approximately 2 minutes. After the reboot (all LEDs are turned off) after 30-60 seconds, check the system operation.children
