How to modify a LoRaWAN sensor
After adding a sensor to the system, its name and sensor description can be changed arbitrarily.
The Activation tab contains the sensor's network session parameters.
Activation parameters should be changed with caution. Reckless changes may result in the loss of the sensor.
Changing the DevEUI and AppKey should only be done to replace a lost or damaged sensor, allowing a new sensor to be inserted in its place in the system.
Changing counters may be necessary when restoring sensor operation from an old backup, as messages have counters and validity windows. However, this may not always help - in that case, delete the sensor and add it again.
The Additional tab contains sensor parameters depending on the sensor type.
Vutlan sensors support configuration verification to ensure their configuration matches the one stored in the system. Any changes to the sensor configuration, as well as system reboots, trigger a verification process.
Until the verification is complete, a yellow message displays: The sensor has not yet received or confirmed the user settings.
If the sensor is successfully verified, a green message displays: The sensor has received and confirmed the user settings.
Configuration verification can take a long time, as it depends on the sensor's Uplink time.
Even if you press Save without changing anything, the procedure for rechecking the sensor configuration will be forced to start.
