Monitor network elements/meters/devices
Network monitored elements are logical checks that supervise the availability, performance, and correct operation of devices, services, and applications across an IP network. Instead of monitoring only physical sensors, these elements actively communicate with networked equipment to verify that systems are reachable, responsive, and behaving as expected.
Vutlan network monitored elements allow you to build a complete, protocol-level view of your infrastructure — from simple connectivity checks to advanced service and event monitoring.
Typical network monitored elements include:
● Ping – verifies device availability and network reachability, detecting outages or excessive latency
● SNMP GET – reads operational values from network devices (temperature, load, status, counters, custom OIDs)
● Modbus TCP/IP – monitors industrial and building automation devices using the Modbus TCP protocol, allowing direct reading of registers (coils, discrete inputs, input registers, holding registers) for real-time values, states, and alarms
