Function and purpose
The VT109 is designed for light alarms in monitoring systems. It can be connected to both 12V DC, 0.25A electronic relay outputs of Vutlan monitoring systems to provide a visual alert when an alarm event is triggered.
Can be used with 3rd party controllers.

Installation (rack stand)
The rack stand bracket is included with the VT109 light alert tower.
Mount the tube, rack stand base.
Put the RJ9 connector through the tube of the rack stand bracket.
Plug the RJ9 connector into the RJ9 port inside the light tower’s bottom.
Screw the rack stand bracket into the light tower’s bottom base.
Mount the rack stand bracket onto a surface or a rack and connect the 3-pin green power connector into Vutlan monitoring unit’s 12 V DC power outputs.

VT109 light tower is supplied with (RJ9 4P4C) to (15EDGK 03P 3.81mm) power cable. Use the following diagram for prolonging the cable or making your own.

12V relay configuration
VT109 light tower connects to 12V DC outputs. First, we need to configure the individual relay outputs of the unit.
For this example, we will use VT335t
Relay outputs on different Vutlan units may vary. When connecting the VT109 light alert tower, relay outputs “Relay 1” and “Relay 2” connections may be reversed. This means that Red and Yellow may be reversed. So please make the configurations accordingly.

1) Log in to the web interface of the monitoring system
2) System tree menu >> Power 12V 0.25A >> Choose relay
3) By default, the names are Power-1 and Power-2. Rename them accordingly, set the initial state, and set the pulse duration time in seconds to a specific period.
Let’s rename Power-1 to “Relay E1 Yellow alert”.
Let’s rename Power-2 to “Relay E2 Red alert”.
Configuring the light tower alerts using logic
Example 1: Normal > Green, Warning> Yellow, Alert > Red
For this example, we will use the VT109 light tower to flash a light according to the status of a Group of sensors.
Let’s create a group of sensors. System tree >> + “add element” >> Name the group “Sensor group 1” >> Elements tab >> add sensors to the group.
If one of the sensors in the group is in the Alert state. The whole group will be in the Alert state, because Alert state has the highest priority.
If one of the sensors in the group is in the warning state, and no other sensor is in the alert state, the group is in the warning state.
If all sensors in a group are in the Normal state, the group is in the Normal state.
We want to achieve the following:
