Factory settings recovery

There is a simple possibility to return the factory default settings beginning from v. 2.5.1 and above.

Legacy family units (VT200, VT800, VT1108, VT1808, VT1908, VT2100, VT8101, VT8110, VT8101T models):

On the reverse side of the running master, the unit turns the switch Normal / Recovery for 10-15 seconds to position Recovery. After the "Alarm" led is lit, wait for a few seconds and return the switch Normal / Recovery to Normal position. LEDs flash, then off and the system will restart. You`ve got factory settings http://192.168.0.193, Login = guest, password = guest.

VT3xx, VT6xx, VT805, VT825 series models:

  1. The system has to be "On", and the "ACT" LED has to be active.

  2. At the backside of the unit, You should find a switch called "Normal / Recovery" (see picture above). Flip the switch to the "Recovery" position.

  3. After this, the red LED called "Error" will start to blink. While it blinks, flip the switch back to position "Normal". The "Error" LED may blink a few more times and after this, the system will restart for recovery settings to take effect. Both the "Alarm" and "ACT" LEDs will stop blinking.

  4. After the system restarts, the "ACT" LED will start blinking again, which means that the system has been reset to factory settings and the system is operational.

  5. You`ve got factory settings http://192.168.0.193, Login = guest, password = guest.

If the switch has been flipped to position "Recovery" by accident, do not flip it back. Wait until the "Error" LED stops blinking every second and starts to glow permanently. When the "Error" LED glows permanently, it is possible to flip the switch back to "Normal" without going into recovery mode, without losing any data.

VT335i, VT825i, and VT855i series models:

      1. The system has to be "On", and the "ACT" LED has to be active.

      2. At the backside of the unit, You should find a button called "Reset Settings" (see picture below). Press and hold the button for a few seconds.

      3. After this, the red LED called "Error" will start to blink. While it blinks, release the button. The "Error" LED may blink a few more times and after this, the system will restart for recovery settings to take effect. Both "Alarm" and "ACT" LEDs will stop blinking.

      4. After the system restarts, the "ACT" LED will start blinking again, which means that the system has been reset to factory settings and the system is operational.

      5. You`ve got factory settings http://192.168.0.101, Login = guest, password = guest.
